Oh, the choices to be made
The good news about building a new home? You get to pick every little component from start to finish.
The bad news about building a new home? You get to pick every little component from start to finish. It can sometimes lead you down a Pinterest rabbit hole of options that be overwhelming.

I'm fairly easy-going and enjoy a number of styles. I don't always have something specific in mind, if I had a slogan or motto it would be - I'll know what I want when I find it. For me, it's all about deciding on the first big thing that starts the ball rolling for all the other things. It can either be the actual most significant piece of the home, often the style of the kitchen, or it can be the thing that's most important to you, perhaps something you've been dreaming of for a long time - a particular colour or type of flooring, or an art piece that you want to incorporate.
Jerry tends to stay on the bubble with decisions until the very last possible second. It's not a procrastination thing, he starts the process well in advance. It's more like he's waiting for a better idea to come to him. And you know, often it does, and his last minute decisions are better than his original ideas, so it's not a broken system.
Whatever your decision making style, you will end up with an awesome product and the opportunity to choose every detail. That's good news.
